Slow Travel: Never Miss an Opportunity... (2 MIN Read)

“Never miss an opportunity to see anything that is beautiful” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

We couldn’t agree more! But how do you do that? Find the answer below!

The first theme of the new Italian vacation, “slow travel”. The themes are meant to give you new perspectives on vacation.

Slow travel is a style rather than one specific process. The most important element being making and finding a connection. Whether that be to a place, to a person, to a memory you make or anything that you carry home with you. Everyone’s slow travel will look differently based on personality but it’s ultimately a way to use your time more effectively and enjoy your time more. Who doesn’t want that?!

Slow travel means not over planning or over-booking your day so that you have a couple hours to wander, find a small church, museum, or bar to explore that you probably would never have found otherwise. When you slow down you usually notice things you hadn’t before, and gain an opportunity to meet people: fellow travelers or locals.

Real life example:

You have 40 minutes before your next booking, you’re walking down the street and see a small chapel, store, something that piques your interest, you look at the clock, worried you won’t make it in time and decide you’re now in a rush, you’ll get back to it later. But later never comes because it’s something else to add to your list. Don’t let an overwhelming schedule keep you from finding beautiful places and enjoying them.
